Pride on Main 2023
We had an amazing time hosting our Block Party in 2022, so we decided to unite our community once again in our second annual Pride Event. This year we extended our Pride Event down Main Street to include even more local businesses! We had an amazing turnout and loved getting to meet many different people from our diverse community here in Ames, giving out a grand total of 26 gift bags! A huge thank you to all participating businesses on Main Street who took part in the fun, and donated many gifts to make this event possible! We look forward to doing it again next year!
Prep for Pride 2022
As proud members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community, we were so happy to host this event within our community! Heroic Hair and other participating businesses gave away free goodies and card stamps in May of 2022 to prepare for Pride month. Everyone with a fully stamped card was entered for a chance to win a free gift basket! It was such a fun way to celebrate and get everyone excited and ready for Pride. This is an event we would love to continue in the upcoming years!

Styling for Trend Magazine
We were thrilled to partner up with Iowa State's Trend magazine for their 2022 Fall edition! Heroic Hair provided services to help style models for the photoshoots, and we are extremely proud of not only our team, but the entire Trend team and the models included. A member of our own Heroic family, Lara Murray, also designed an entire line of clothing, styled models, and directed a shoot for the magazine! A huge thanks to Trend and everyone involved for giving us this incredible experience. We are so excited and looking forward to working with Trend again in the future!
